Email iPhone Photo Studio - update #2

Greetings all: We start class next week! Watch your email for the specifics of our photo op location. Hint: Old Town Folsom location, within walking distance of Light Rail or plenty of 3-hour street parking. Please think about staying around for lunch at Karen's Bakery for sandwiches or salads. Our photo shoot is by special arrangement with the Folsom History Center volunteers. Jerry and Jim want you to have the best photographic experience possible! Donations to the Folsom History Center will be appreciated.

I am about to invite you to a Shared Photo Album, a feature built-in to Apple Photos. This invitation will come as an Apple email. You will need Photo Sharing turned on in Settings > Photos & Camera > iCloud Photo Sharing to see this album an participate in others during our seminar. This is not junk mail or spam! There will be a Shared Photo Album to post examples of your work for each class day.

Please download the apps before coming to this photo shoot. Actually, if you don't get the apps beforehand, you'll buy my lunch! For this location we will use four camera apps: Apple Camera, Camera+, ProCamera and vividHDR.

Again, here is the list of apps and direct links to buy/download:

To help you see these camera apps in action, watch these YouTube videos on your iPad or computer while you play with your iPhone. Video is a great way to give these hints, you are seeing up-close, at your own pace where you can pause the video at anytime, replay, and scrub through the content.

We will be sharing examples of our work using Apple’s Shared Photos Albums. I will create an album for each meeting and share with our group. You will be able to upload from your iOS device to the shared album and add comments. Other class members can add comments to individual images. For more info, see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202786 Your Apple ID account email will subscribe to each shared album.
