Some additional reading ...
ProCamera v15.4 for iPad! Use the EXIF Viewer (i) and share either JPG or DNG files. Select multiple photos and hold on the Share button to get a batch export with Size, Convert to JPEG and Remove Geo Tags options. IMPORTANT: HDR shooting will not show RAW file format; change mode to Photo to see RAW+JPG, ProRAW and RAW options. Quad-Shot option now available for rapid shooting of 4 shots using the 2nd Shutter button. Back at v15.3 developers added a subscription option for additional tools, like Automatic Perspective Correction. You can preview what this feature will do without a subscription. Then think about the Crop tools in Photos or Snapseed and what you can do in post.
RAW capture is available on all lenses and the front-selfie camera for models 12 and 13. The control panel has been fine-tuned so you want to explore it from the 9-dot icon. ALWAYS, read the What's New to get the scoop. Of interest might be HDR and how you can prioritize capture by using manual exposure bracketing. Find the version number at the bottom of the in-app Settings screen. LASTLY, be sure to add your name to the in-app Settings > Advanced Settings > Copyright (EXIF) field.
Apple Camera v15.5 (same as OS)
Live mode - are you still taking Live shots unintentionally? Let's look at Settings > Camera > Preserve Settings options and all of the Settings > Camera toggles.
Apple Photos v 15.x
Search is not just one term, try combinations but separate the term with comma: "cat, 2015" or "flower, cat" (without the quotes). Some results will miss the mark, but this feature is constantly improving. In using Search, type a word, if it appears on the list, tap it to insert the word as a "token" and then add another word.
iOS 16 will be out in the fall and there will be shifts in features for Camera and Photos. One early note includes details for iPhone 13 Pro, where the Portrait mode will add controls on foreground blur to "improve" depth-of-field effect where the subject is isolated from background and foreground. Improvements in the Visual Lookup feature in Photos is expanding to allow you to touch the subject in a photo and "lift" it out of the photo (remove the background) and paste to a Message, email or other app. This feature will be supported on iPhone XS models and later. We need to test this feature! Jeff Carlson wrote Meet Apple's powerful new M2 MacBook Air article for Popular Photography where he writes about computational photography. Andy Day writes about computational photography on many platforms for Shotkit, How You Can Benefit From Computational Photography.
